Changing Maya's Grid Options

It can be helpful to have a grid in your scene. It helps you to judge distances quickly and also indicates the position of the floor without having to manually add a plane. To change Maya's grid options:

• Select the options box in the Display -> Grid menu item.

• The dialog is not very good - Maya seems to be confused about the definition of a 'unit'. Try the values in the following screen shot.

• Choose 'Apply' to see your changes or 'Apply and Close' to see the changes and remove the dialog.
